Handling and preserving antique textiles isn’t overwhelming if you know what you’re doing. This wonderful website has oodles of information on storing, displaying, rescuing, and stabilizing all sorts of fragile things. It’s a bit addictive once you start reading, so be warned, you may spend more time there than you planned.
A special note: the search bar will say the site is “not secrue”. This does NOT mean it’s unsafe to look. It means they haven’t purchased an encryption certificate.
