Home is a great place to start – but you don’t want to stay here forever. If you’re ready to see more, the tips below will help you navigate. Trust me, it’s easy!

The large, scrolling photos at the center front will take you to recent posts. Think of them as hors d’oeuvres. You can start there, and see quite a lot by moving from page to page with the arrows at the bottom of each post. Or, if you’re the kind of person who worries about missing things, go to the top menu and click on “Outside the Lines”. Every post ever created appears there without any kind of formatting – no categories – just the posts themselves in whichever order I published them. The newest one will always be at the top, so if you’re determined to read every word, start at the bottom of the last page.

The three boxes below the large photo give you quick access to the most recent content in Tutorials, Hard-Earned Wisdom, and Resources. Each box leads directly to the newest, single post in that category – no scrolling required (the complete set of posts for each of these categories can be found by clicking the appropriate button on the top menu).

In addition to buttons for Tutorials, Hard-Earned Wisdom, and Resources, the top menu is where you access the heart of the blog – the dolls and their growing wardrobes. Introductions are a polite way to begin, so when you click that button you’ll find the first post for each doll. When you click the Projects button, you’ll have a choice about how you prefer to read things. On the Projects page are all the posts about every wardrobe addition, with all the dolls mixed together. They appear as I publish them, ordered by date with the most recent ones at the top. If you prefer to follow along with a specific doll, you can find her in the Projects button drop-down menu.

Once you click “Continue Reading” for any project post, you’ll get the rest of the post itself, plus a link back to that doll’s personal page and a link to view posts just for that specific project. Some posts will also include links to related Sewing Tutorials or Resources. And some will have links to the category Hard-Earned Wisdom, which is where I share advice about what NOT to do. And once a project has been completed, I’ll add some special photos of it under the menu item “Galleries”.

Finally, there are two buttons on the top menu that are just plain fun. The first is Curiosities, where I share stories and information from the times when our dolls, had they been real people, would have lived. There’s also a Members Only section, where I’ll sometimes post small presents for the dolls belonging to newsletter subscribers. It’s completely free to sign up, and being able to see what you all click on and find interesting helps me, in turn, to provide better content.

I’m no tech genius. So if you stumble upon something that’s not working the way it should, please let me know. In the meantime, I wish you happy reading!
