Dear little Maddie! She recently read about Chiffonnette’s disastrous adventures in the countryside, and took all the good lessons to heart. She insisted that I make her an appropriate dress for play, and how could I possibly refuse when she was trying so hard to be good? Enjoy these happy pictures of her in her garden!
This is just adorable, both the costume and how she is posed. I so loved the story (and illustration) of Chiffonnette getting into a little difficulty in the garden, while visiting her friend Bonne Amie. I even named my Darlene Lane Huret “Bonne Amie” as there can only be one Chiffonnette and we know who she belonged to, Sylvia MacNeil was such an inspiration to all of us. Thank you for helping us to sew well and delight us at the same time.
