Maddie and I are pleased to announce we both survived the sewing of her new “almost” spring dress.
Comparing its name, and the current date, should tell you everything you need to know about how that process went. It was meant to be finished sometime in February, but . . . you can read about the ordeal it became, if you wish, over HERE.
Meanwhile, Maddie wasted no time in dressing herself up and taking a carriage ride over to the newly reopened Ladurée bakery, where the finest macaroons in Paris are made fresh daily. Everyone was so distraught when their original location burnt down, but the new shop is simply FABULOUS! (We’re taking some creative liberties with the timing of the rebuilding and Maddie’s visit, but only by a few years!)
When she returned with her lovely green bag full of goodies, we were able to create some photos, which we hope you’ll enjoy!
First we needed some new underpinnings . . .

Then, a chemisette with fitted sleeves . . .

And then, finally, we could appear in public properly dressed for a day of shopping!
