Maddie’s red sprigged summer dress has been nicknamed “the cupcake dress”, for obvious reasons. I had to explain to the girls what cupcakes are. Now they all want me to stop sewing and make some. It sounds delicious to me, too. But cooking is not where I shine.
Cupcakes are best left to their imaginations.
Meanwhile, I’m on a deadline! Maddie has been invited to an outdoor concert at the Tuileries and there will be a picnic. So this is just a quick post to whet the appetite for what’s coming soon.
Which is to say, a new pattern for this dress:
But – first I have to press that skirt, and then attach it to the completed bodice. I also have a new hat to decorate (with mouth watering Civil War era silk velvet ribbon. . . !!!) Then there are props to create and a scene to build and photos to be taken.
I love ALL of it!
I hope you will too.
