Some days I need to remind myself that it’s okay to just keep plugging along – even if it’s at a snail’s pace. I think we all do. Maddie’s dress is coming along, slowly but surely. I’ve gotten the skirt pieced together, and I think it worked out fine. The stripes help to hide the seams, and if you’re not looking for them I don’t think they’re noticeable.
If you are looking, the photo above has TWO seams.
I used the bodice from her slip pattern as a basis for the dress. The next step is making sleeves, which is a horrific process. At least it is for me, and the rest of the residents, at Miss Persnickity’s.
I’ll share all about this in the next post. Meanwhile, I’ve been dilly-dallying over whether the bodice to this dress should be lined. Wouldn’t you know it, I discovered some history about sheer dresses I hadn’t read about before, and you can check it out over HERE.
